FAQ

Supported Browser EnvironmentFontShow is only supported on desktop environments. We recommend using Chrome or Edge browser (version 103 or above). It may also work on some third-party browsers based on the Chromium engine, but compatibility issues may occur. Firefox, Safari, Opera, and other browsers are currently not supported.

Font Access PermissionsWhen you first use FontShow, your browser will ask for permission to access local fonts. If you deny access, you won't be able to browse local fonts. You can manage font access permissions in your browser settings at any time. For Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings. For Edge, go to Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions > Fonts. This is a read-only permission and will not affect your local files. FontShow does not upload any user data to the server, all data is stored locally in your browser.

Font Access PermissionsIn the font preview list, click on any text or double-click a font name to enter edit mode. Changes made to the text in the input box will instantly update the preview for all fonts.

Font Name Display Issues or Garbled TextThe font names displayed in the preview list are taken from the font's metadata. Click the button in the interface to view the complete metadata information.
Some non-standard font files may display garbled or missing names due to incorrect or incompatible metadata. We recommend reinstalling standard font formats.

Fonts Added or Deleted in the System Not Updated in the ListDue to browser caching and API limitations, fonts added or deleted in the system will not be updated in the font list in real time. Please restart your browser to refresh the cache.

Lag When Browsing or Changing OptionsFont loading and rendering are performed locally, so performance may be affected by your device's capabilities and the number of fonts. If you experience lag, try reducing the amount of content, decreasing the text size, or lowering the number of items displayed per page to improve rendering performance.
